Paddle Cleanup at Red Creek Pond

Join Peconic Baykeeper and Suffolk County Legislator Ann Welker for a morning paddle cleanup at Red Creek Pond! We’ll explore the shoreline by kayak or paddleboard while removing debris and helping to protect this beautiful habitat.

All are welcome— please bring a kayak or paddle board, water bottle, and sun protection. Kayak rentals will be made available day of for a reduced rate thanks to East End Explorer! Single kayak or SUP rental will be $40.00 and  double kayak rental will be $60.00. Gloves and cleanup supplies will be provided.

Participants should be comfortable paddling and children must be accompanied by an adult. This event is weather dependent with a RAIN DATE of July 18th please make sure to register so we can communicate with you.

Registration is required.  You MUST bring a Personal Flotation Device (PFD). Those who do not bring PFDs will not be allowed to join the paddle. 

After the cleanup, paddle on over (or drive) to the Peconic Baykeeper office for a BYOB (Bring Your Own Bagged) Lunch and good conversation with fellow water stewards.
